So there was a plan. When it came to returning to work it wasn't exactly perfect - childcare hadn't really been 'sorted' - but there was a general idea about returning to the massage table from maternity leave. As is often the way with plans, it hasn't worked out that way!
Unfortunately, Victoria's return has had to be put on ice - both literally and figuratively - as she is now battling with a rather nasty bout of tendonitis. Being somewhat limited in treatment protocols, and with 'rest' being slightly challenging having an 8kg+ little chap to look after, it's currently unclear when she will be up and running again.
One of the perks of having developed a strong network of awesome multi-disciplinary practitioners over the years is that she's in great hands, but ultimately the injury will take it's own sweet time. After the healing comes the strengthening, and then rebuilding the stamina.
She will be back at the massage table at some point, hopefully in the not too distant future. She is missing the hands on work and all of her lovely clients. But once again, she needs to listen to her own advice ...
We'll keep you updated with her progress in due course, but she knows that you are all in very good hands ... in fact, in exceptional hands with the rest of the Bristol Massage Therapy team!
PS - The quote at the start of this story is generally attributed to John Lennon. However, it can actually be traced back to an issue of Reader’s Digest magazine dated January 1957
