Annie's New Pastures

They say that the grass isn't always greener. But the problem I have with this phase is that unless you go and have a look ... you'll never know!

I'm really very sad to announce that the wonderful Annie Johansen is leaving the Bristol Massage Therapy team. I would usually suggest that people book in their final appointment with Annie before she departs in mid-March, but I'm afraid to say that she is so popular, she is completely full!

As ever, when Annie told me her plans I was very conflicted, because whilst I'm personally and professionally gutted, she is actually off to join a friend in setting up a brand new business venture, and this is something I'm completely thrilled about.

It has been a pleasure to get to know Annie during her time as part of Bristol Massage Therapy, and I know that she will be missed by myself, the team and all of our wonderful clients. However, I hope that you will join me in wishing her all the very best on the next exciting adventure.

Stepping back up to the table

No lady ever really knows how pregnancy might impact her body, particularly the first time around. However, when you have a physical job such as a massage therapist, it can add another dimension to the unpredictability. So when I had to step away from the table earlier than expected it might have been a surprise to me, but those of my clients who were parents merely gave a knowing nod!

However, it's with much excitement (and slight trepidation) and I'm now looking at returning to the table. Given the physical nature of the work this will be a phased return, initially offering pregnancy massage appointments on Saturday mornings after Easter, and then looking to expand this offering once we have childcare organised on a more regular basis.

I have loved keeping in touch with all of my wonderful clients, even though I've know they are in great hands with the rest of the Bristol Massage Therapy team, but I'm now very much looking forward to coming back to work, it's given me a wonderful incentive to start exercising to regain my stamina.

If you just can't wait, and want to get something in the diary with me, do please feel free to email me directly. I won't make any promises, but I'll see what I can do.
