Meet Ollie Dennison

I couldn’t recommend Ollie enough if you are in need of some TLC. He understood intuitively what I needed from the session and worked in conjunction with advice from my Osteopath whilst recovering from a recent bike accident. His depth of knowledge and understanding of not just massage but the anatomy and physiology behind an ache or injury is evident. I was also armed with gentle and affective movements and stretches to continue his good work on my road to recovery.

About Me

I know that physical self-care is essential to ensuring we can each live our lives to their fullest. I believe that with awareness, care and maintenance of mobility we can all be empowered to move and feel how we want in our bodies.

I am passionate about movement and maintaining my own physical health and well-being. I have been practicing yoga and martial arts for 20 years. Alongside this, I work in the community teaching dance and movement classes to children and adults. Over the years I have suffered several injuries and have personal experience of full rehabilitation with dedicated practice and professional support. Because of this journey with my own physical self-care, combined with a background in support work and education, I have found a calling in helping others improve their own physical health and well-being through massage and bodywork.

I have just completed the Remedial & Sports Massage course with BCMB (awaiting the certificate) and am qualified in Holistic Massage, with additional training in Myofascial Release and Deep Tissue Massage. I combine targeted, firm and direct techniques for soft tissue release with a sensitive approach and compassionate touch, giving space and time for the fascia (our body’s web of connective tissue) to adjust, unwind and release. Whether you are seeking support due to injury, postural dysfunction or more general physical and / or emotional struggle, I aim to support a complete return to pain-free movement and enhance awareness to the connection between body and mind, leading to a more improved sense of well-being overall.

When I’m not massaging, I am also a professional musician and a graduated teacher of Capoeira (a form of Brazilian martial art) for both adults and children.

Ollie offers a very professional service. He is works very closely with what, I was looking for in a treatment. Recently I have been using Ollie to help with some particularly tight spots in my right hamstring after some knee surgery I had one year ago. It has really helped. I do not always focus on my hamstring, on other occasions I have had a more all over massage and I have found these to be really beneficial, mentally and physically. Will be seeing more of Ollie this year!

I was blown away by both Ollie’s knowledge of anatomy and the way he used it as a roadmap to facilitate my understanding of what his magic hands were up to whilst I drifted through space.

Pushing more into the remedial / ‘sports’ massage Ollie has shed a huge amount of light upon (and given me solid exercises to do continue working on) an ‘injury’ from repetitive muscle action in sport.

Diamond geezer - obvs. but also a razor-sharp and deeply intuitive healer. #win
